The Travelocity Roaming Gnome Visits Savannah, Ga.

SOUTHLAKE, Texas & SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Travelocity's iconic Roaming Gnome[R] will tour Savannah, Ga., this week to take in top tourism sites and attractions, and you can follow his travels on his Facebook page and Twitter feed.

His visit is part of a joint social media promotion between Visit Savannah and Travelocity to help travelers discover Savannah and its many attractions.

"Savannah is thrilled to have this opportunity to welcome the world-renowned Travelocity Roaming Gnome to town," said Joe Marinelli, President of Visit Savannah. The Roaming Gnome will visit sites throughout Savannah May 18-19 and be photographed at unique points of interests such as Forsyth Park, The Ships of the Sea Museum and Tybee Island and he will post the photos on his Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/travelocity. He will share the photos with the more than 150,000 combined people who follow him on Twitter and Facebook. Photos also will be posted at Visit Savannah's Facebook page.
